Using the Regional structure of 4x4x4 Balkan Bridges, projects are geared to the protection and improvement of the environment by:

Giving priority to implementing EU standards in waste management, cross-border cooperation and providing real capacity building in the decision making process for citizens at local and national levels .

Current project proposals include:

• Recycling of cooking and engine oils;
• Scrap collection.

Acting as a catalyst for the initiation of new cross-border and multi-stakeholder projects in the fields of:

• Municipal and community capacity building;
• Education for sustainable rural development;
• Bio-diversity;
• Water management.
